Working hard in Nice, France: Day one
Here's a graphic for a 'hotel' theme Mark and I are working on.
And a logo for the same project. Like a French concierge/bellhop type of a dude.
And another logo/crest treatment. These are all going to be used for a showroom which is themed "Façonnable - Grand Hotel," and everything is styled to evoke an elegant hotel, travel, etc. RIght now I am sitting at a tiny wooden makeshift desk facing a terraced hillside in Nice, just outside of the downtown area. The glass door is pulled wide and the Mediterranean breeze is my inspiration.

p.s. - these are all quick & rough. Don't judge me.
looks great, darling! my favorite is the Grand Hotel one.
drink some fancy wine and piss off some frenchies for me!
The key and tag one is my favorite. It holds so much promise! Like you're going to go there later and have a secret rendezvous with Leslie Caron. Oh la la.
See if you can find an aperitif called Suze anywhere. It's golden, made with gentian (bitter herb) but it's sweet too. Maximally delish!
I recommend using the word "delish", preferably in an obnoxious Chicago accent, as much as possible around the Frenchies. Like your waiter.
Other good brash Americanisms to try are "hey, that hits the spot!" and "gosh darn it!" and "I didn't just fall off the turnip truck, buster!"
Simply: You are fabulous.
The crest is my fav, but seems a little lighter in weight then the others. It might not matter, guess it depends on how it will be used.
holy crap, cori. this stuff is so good. i especially like the recent mosaic stuff and the kid pattern. are you creating any of these typefaces? what are they? facconable fonts?
